Cecile Zarokian is a Paris-based independent perfumer who founded her company in 2011. She has created over a hundred fragrances for various brands in the European, Middle-Eastern and Latin-American perfume markets. In addition to her creation skills as a perfumer in fine fragrance, homecare and bodycare, Cecile works with international brands as a consultant in scent branding, helping them to create and develop their olfactory identity. Her scent marketing expertise leads her to design multi-sensory experiences for unique events and activations. She also runs masterclasses, workshops and perfume seminars in North, Central and South America, Asia, and Europe.
In 2019 she took up the challenge to enter the Latin-American market, and started with Brazil by creating the scent of Granado’s “Bossa” complete line, launched in 2020 for this iconic Carioca brand’s 150-year anniversary.
Cecile has been working in the perfume industry for more than 15 years, starting with a four-year training with Robertet, a leading French fragrance house. There, she created her first fragrance, Epic Woman, one of the best-selling fragrances of Amouage today, right before she graduated from ISIPCA (the internationally recognized perfumery training school founded by JJ Guerlain in Versailles).
An artistic project she developed with an illustrator jumpstarted her career and gave birth to an exhibition that travelled Europe (Paris 2011, London 2013, Triennale di Milano 2014). The objective of this project, entitled [IP]01, was to correlate 6 visuals and 6 perfumes, in perfect harmony. Each universe gives birth to the other, and vice versa: the paint brush follows the olfactive narrative, while the nose is led by the sketch.
